Nina L. Richards
Graphic Designer & Photographer, Rockville, MD
Currently, I am the photographer for the Eric Stewart Group of Long and Foster.
As a daughter of two journalists, I got to grow up around the world. We lived in Beijing, Hong Kong, and Hawaii before moving to Maryland.
I started doing photography in high school using my grandfather’s old 35mm Pentax camera. I fell in love with film and the darkroom.
My interest in graphic design began in college when I realized it used many of the same principles as photography. I quickly learned I had an eye and a highly intuitive sense for layout.
The constant word my professor used to describe my graphic design work was “beautiful.” I was happy to hear that because that’s my style. I strive to create beautiful designs that are strong and speak for themselves.
Melding the two worlds is a dream come true for me.
